Dr. David A. Mattingly is Chief of Joint Reconstruction and Director of the Otto E. AuFranc Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital. He is a Trustee of New England Baptist Hospital where he is in active clinical practice. Dr. Mattingly is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Mattingly serves as a board member of Op Walk Boston and the Arthroplasty, Orthopedic Executive, Finance and Development Committees at the New England Baptist Hospital, where he also served as past director of Orthopedic Education.

Dr. Mattingly is a well-recognized writer and lecturer with numerous publications in orthopedic literature. He currently serves on the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Arthroplasty and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Mattingly graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Evansville, where he was elected a first team Academic All-American in football. He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He completed the Otto E. AuFranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Mattingly specializes in total joint replacement and revision surgery of the hip and knee.
